The George Inn - Braunton

I got the double room, it was new-fashioned and functional.

Great service, parking on-site. Good breakfast selection with toast, good vegetarian option plus watered down orange juice. Marvellous location in the very bright area, so close to a restaurant and the bus stops and centre of town Staff.

ideal base for exploring local cultures and parks

I loved how easy it was to stroll to Braunton Countryside Centre, just about a 10-minute walk away, and the cozy vibe of the nearby Braunton Great Field were nice. The room was perfect, really clean with good quality towels.

A lovely, spacious room with a private bathroom. The cooked breakfast was really good, offering generous portions. Parking was easy, often hard to find in this area. I didn't utilize the bar downstairs, so I can't evaluate the drinks. The buzzing atmosphere in the bar did not impact my room's tranquility, a plus.

Room decor needs updating, but the convenience of nearby dining options was excellent.

This was an ideal choice for a weekend trip in Braunton with decent value for money. The 5' bed was very comfy and we slept well. Remember to ask for heating if your room is chilly.

Comfortable room and great location

The staff were friendly and provided excellent local recommendations. The location was ideal for accessing the nearby shops and beaches. One area for improvement could be faster service during peak times, as it felt slightly slow during breakfast.

We explored Ilfracombe Harbour and enjoyed surfing near the hotel. The staff were super friendly, the breakfast was tasty, and the location was perfect for bars and restaurants. We'd definitely stay here again for the value and convenience.

One downside was the cleanliness of the duvet. There was some fluff.

The room was super comfy with good amenities like tea and coffee. Staff were friendly and really helpful, even gave us a bowl of water for our dog. Food was delicious and fresh, especially loved the seasonal dishes. Location is fab for exploring braunton and the coast!

Only downside was the shower could use more power and felt a bit weak. The cleanliness of the water glasses could be improved, felt a bit unhygienic.

great location with some noise issues

The location in the heart of town is excellent and made exploring very convenient. Breakfast was excellent, with Charlotte offering really good service.

The traffic noise from the main road can be disruptive for light sleepers.

Had a good stay at The George! The cozy vibe felt like home, and the breakfast surpassed my expectations. While noise from the bar made it hard to sleep initially, my overall experience was fantastic. Highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting Braunton!

The room in question could really use some TLC-damaged trim in the shower and a missing slat on the shutters caught my eye right away. It got cold in there, tough to relax when you're bundled up in your coat, and heating issues left the radiators cold at night. Storage space felt cramped, with just one chair in a room designed for two. The bathroom setup has a few quirks, like a mirror way too high for average folk and a loose toilet seat that didn't inspire confidence.

I found The George Inn to be quite a cozy place. I appreciated the early check-in, which allowed me to settle in without a rush. The room was spacious, clean, and had comfortable beds, perfect for a restful night. I loved the breakfast, especially the veggie sausages. They were delicious! The heating seemed inconsistent. I sat with my coat on for a bit until I got the heating adjusted. The shower could use a better spray-not enough pressure for my liking. The decor felt a bit dated, and I noticed a missing slat from the window shutters, feel less polished. Despite these issues, the friendly staff was good. Parking was easy, just across the road, very convenient. It was a pleasant stay, with a few bumps that could use some attention.
